The big decision: Where to go for our honeymoon? Oh boy did I have fun with this one... I was definitely that kid in the candy store. I remember Jesse and I went out for lunch and I couldn't wait to bring up the subject. Our vacations have to be approved by him first, you see. :) So I bring up the question...and surprisingly, he blurts out a million ideas. Europe. Greece (This is a surprise, as Jesse has always said he can "wait" on going to Greece - but he's adamant about Greece). Spain. Italy. Oh the options... I always envisioned going to Bora Bora for my honeymoon, but once Europe was mentioned... Well, I can't resist it. Bora Bora, Tahiti, the South Pacific will have to wait, but it is in the near future, I assure you.
However, back to Europe. I refuse to just go to one country. There are many I have yet to go to and if this is our honeymoon, we are visiting SEVERAL. So we decide and start narrowing it down. The entire lunch was spent discussing the possibilities, the country combinations, the transportation options - the works.
So, we get back home. When I'm excited about travel plans, I don't stop until I know where I'm going. And I research nonstop. Get my laptop out, Jesse starts playing XBOX (he leaves the planning and research up to me - and then he approves or disapproves) and I start researching... and researching... The Swiss Alps, Nice, Venice, Germany - it's endless. But then I realize... what I want to do, and the amount of places I want to visit in one trip (I wanted a minimum of 3 countries, ala "Just Married" the movie :) ) will require lots of careful planning in transportation, trains, planes, cars... we can't decide.
Then, a lightblub flashes in my head, and without telling Jesse I go to http://www.cruisesonly.com/. (The BEST site to find cruises for just about anywhere and any time and good deals too - Not to mention I get Marriott points when using that site!) Ok so this is tricky... and I'm trekking on shallow water because Jesse DOESN'T particularly enjoy cruising (More on this and cruising later) and I KNOW this is going to be a hard one to sell... but my logic is that cruising will allow us to see numerous countries in one trip - get us there much quicker, and just have to think of it as a floating hotel. Now I KNOW, I must find an absolutely great one in order for Jesse agree... so I don't tell him a word that this is what I'm doing, until I find it...and I do.
I found the cruise that we're going to go on... it's a 12-Night Eastern Mediterranean cruise.
BUT how do I know he's going to agree? One word: EGYPT. **I'm pretty sure Egypt is on everybody's bucket list, and if it's not, the pyramids are a place everyone wishes they could at least see. (This is just my theory)

SO...I am praying he's going to say yes to this. I bring it up. The minute I utter the word "cruise" Jesse's saying NO. I proceed and tell him the stops, against his protesting...EGYPT. I'm pretty sure now he's thinking "Transformers 2 - Egypt - The Destroyer destroying the pyramids" (Just Kidding, Jess lol) ...BUT he's sold. & there you have it! Now on to the careful planning... choosing tours, what to see, what to do on all of our stops, the fun part!!!
More on this as I continue to research. But the honeymoon is decided and that's the important part. :)
