My Travel Obsession

I don't quite know if I should call it an obsession. It quite possibly could be. But I like to think of it as my passion. Truly. I live and breathe travel, and I'd do anything to make it my line of work... Just have to figure out how to make that happen first. :) (Believe me, I'm trying) Ever since I can remember, I've always had this huge desire and goal to travel the world. I even considered becoming a flight attendant in high school just so that I could do so. In middle school under "Career Goals" I had written: 'International Flight Attendant' where most were writing Doctors, Lawyers, etc. Big career goals, I know. (Sarcasm)

Anyway, so there you have it... Constantly I get asked HOW do you travel so much? Why do you travel so much? And well... To be perfectly honest, I make time to travel. I make it my priority where most people think of travel as a vacation in which they need to get away once a year and then they're satisfied. I want to see the world. Every single country (Ok not every single country but nearly all of them!) I hope to be 70 someday and have visited as much as I was able to see... and have no regrets. We live in a world full of different cultures, geography, climates, people and languages and to subject yourself to just a few is not experiencing enough, in my opinion.

Some people's hobbies might be dancing, or playing the guitar, or scrapbooking. Jesse always says you have the most expensive hobby in the world... and I do. :) I created this travel blog because I've always heard of keeping diaries or notes when you travel and I never was one to actually do it, but have always wanted to. I started writing a diary on a train ride from Paris to Barcelona and I stopped at page 2. I just cannot write in a notebook. So a blog is the answer!Not only that, but facebook has a way of connecting people from all facets of life - as well as a stalking tool so everyone knows everything about one another, of course :) - so as is my experience, I get asked for travel advice all the time. I want this to be a way for people to see my reviews, thoughts, and ideas on travel - where I've been, where I'm going, and I hope to help anybody on an individual basis as well. If I haven't been there, I will research it.  Whether it's researching articles, finding out about new destinations, or any travel obsession related "thing"... I will post it! :) Enjoy!!!

Visit the destinations of your dreams. Stop resisting. Take the plunge and GO. Your mind and your life will be enriched by the experience. For now, truly, the world is your oyster.♥
